Sarah Kwan 关琦慧 Worship leader
Sarah has 10 years of experience in leading worship. She was born in California, and grew up in China as a missionary kid (MK)/third-culture kid (TCK). Music and performance have always been a significant part of her life, and worshipping through song feels like a calling to her. She is passionate about creating spaces where people can come together and share a deep connection in the Lord.
Sarah’s vision for her worship ministry is that it will lead God’s people in Christ-centered, Gospel-centered, and Bible-centered worship, where they are encouraged and empowered to encounter the cross communally and individually, all for the purpose of God’s glory and the unification of the church. Sarah's worship ministry aims to create a worship space that glorifies God through the medium of worship arts, such as music, dance, drama, visual art, etc. This space will emphasize theologically rich worship music, the act of calling on the name of Jesus, the acknowledgment of God’s presence made known through the Holy Spirit in the gathering of His people, all to model worship practices that point to God.
Sarah deeply enjoys listening to people's stories and being a part of developing people's true authentic selves. Sarah aspires to become a full-time performer as a worship leader, musical theater performer, or full-time singer. She is strong in leadership, organization, problem-solving, and adaptability. Some of her hobbies include: going to see plays, musicals, live music events, exploring new places, writing, reading, engaging in deep conversations with people, and cooking.
