Children and Families
Children are an important part of the All Saints community. We beleive:
Children are made in the image of God and are beloved by God.
Children that can have vibrant, rich relationships with Jesus now.
Imagination, play, and creativity are important parts of the childhood experience and places where God delights to meet children.
Children are an important part of the people of God and have something to offer us.
Our children’s rooms are places for the children in our congregation to know they belong to Jesus, experience the life of faith, meet Jesus in their wonder and questions, and build relationships with other children as they follow Jesus together.
What to Expect on Sunday Mornings
All children are welcome throughout the service at All Saints. We also offer children’s ministry during the service. Please check your child into the appropriate classroom before the service begins at the check-in station just inside the main doors.
When our church officially launches on Easter, we plan to have two rooms for children. In the meantime, Little Saints and Kid Saints will meet together with a focus on spiritual formation, play, and connection.
Little Saints (Birth - 4 years old)
Little Saints is available for children ages birth-4 years old. Please bring your child to the classroom before the readings and pick your child up during the peace so that they and the volunteers may join the church for the Eucharist (communion).
Kid Saints (Kindergarten - 5th Grade)
Kid Saints is available for children in Kindergarten through 5th grade during the service. Children are dismissed before the readings and will return to the sanctuary during the peace so that they can participate in the Eucharist (communion).
Safety
We take the safety of children very seriously. Every classroom is staffed by at least two trained volunteers who have undergone a background check. We’re happy to provide more information regarding our child protection policies and practices upon request.
If you suspect that a child has been harmed or is at risk of being harmed by abuse or neglect, call the DCFS 24-hour Child Abuse Hotline at 800-25-ABUSE (800-252-2873). In non-emergency situations, they prefer you use the Online Reporting Form.
Then contact Pastor Lindsey Goetz. If you prefer, you may contact All Saint's Rector, Esau McCaulley.
If you as an adult feel you have been victimized by someone at Savior, please report directly to the diocese. Click here to access C4SO’s reporter ("whistleblower") policy.
Contact Lindsey Goetz, Pastor for Children’s Formation, for more information.
