Rev. Dr. Heather Matthews Associate Pastor for Congregational Life
Rev. Heather is our associate Pastor congregational life and community care. She oversees our service ministries to Naperville that fulfill our vision of being a congregation that “ cares for the needy.” She helps maintain the overall health of All Saints by managing the day to day operations of our church. Rev. Matthew Matthews also preaches, teaches, provides pastoral care, and assists in the liturgy as needed.
Rev. Dr. Matthews is the Doctor of Ministry Program Manager at Wheaton College Graduate School. Heather has also worked as a pastor, church planter, non-profit leader, and global worker for over twenty years.
She has a D.Min. from Fuller Seminary, an M.A. in Educational Ministry and an M.A. in Counseling Ministry from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL.
Heather’s area of expertise is women in church leadership. She is the author of Confronting Sexism in the Church: How We Got Here and What We Can Do About It published by InterVarsity Press which came out on August 27, 2024.
Heather has four children and lives in the Chicago suburbs.
She was ordained locally in a non-denominational context, but is currently an aspirant for Holy Orders with the ACNA through our diocese of Churches for the Sake of Others.
